Dr. Zhu is a Partner at JunHe LLP (a Chinese firm with over 700 attorneys in China). He is the head of intellectual property (IP) practice and the managing partner of its Silicon Valley office.  Prior to JunHe, he was a partner at the Los Angeles office of Perkins Coie LLP and the managing partner of Perkins Coie’s Beijing office.

Dr. Zhu’s practice includes patent litigation, procurement, and opinion as well as IP strategies and technology licensing.  He represents international clients to enforce or defend IP rights by leading litigation efforts, procures patent rights, and provides strategic IP counselling and due diligence.  BusinessWeek elected Dr. Zhu as one of the most influential “sea turtles” (U.S. returnees) in the Sino-American medical and pharmaceutical community. He was also selected as one of the Market Leading Attorney in the Asia- Pacific intellectual property field by Asialaw. Dr. Zhu served as chairman of BayHelix and a board member of the Chinese Biological Investigators Society (CBIS). He currently sits on the boards of CalTech Associates and Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce USA. 

Dr. Zhu graduated from Fudan University, Shanghai, and then, in a total of seven academic years, earned a Ph.D. degree from Caltech as well as a J.D.-MBA dual degree from Columbia University.
